I've learned through Yahoo Philippines that a murder suspect has been arrested because of his Facebook profile. It so happened that the suspect is a facebook friend of one the victim’s daughter. And that through the suspect’s picture in his facebook account they were able to ask some witnesses if he is the one who is responsible for the crimes.
Guess social networking sites has positive effect on helping how to solve crimes.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there is an opposide to this too. Few days ago a 19 years old guy killed a 23 years old girl he got to know through facebook...Due to the description she had in her profile, he could see that she was a weak person and she also shared her personal information on FB so he could locate her :(
ReplyDeleteOne needs to be careful when it comes to trusting people online and NOT put any personal details on there!
